The new owner, a Chilean wood products manufacture, contracted with Dettinger Project Management to dis-mantel the plant, containerize the components and re-install the plant in Chile.
We planned the dis-assembly, hired contractors, and managed the work crew.
We planned the container loading, scheduled shipments and prepared the documentation for the transport.
We created new plant layout drawings and specified the civil work for Chilean engineers.
We coordinated the purchase of new components, such as all new boiler tubes and refractory.
We prepared implementation plans for the construction in Chile, prepared a schedule, assisted in selecting the construction team and organized the construction.
We monitored the construction process for quality, provided the construction team with technical information, made drawings for new assemblies and wrote specification to convert the plant from 60 Hertz to 50 Hertz.
We designed the process piping system for the entire plant.
We designed a new fuel handling and storage system for dual fuel.
We designed a new PLC based control system for the boiler and the fuel handling system.
We designed a new water treatment plant with R/O pre-treatment.
We tested the new controls elements, managed the startup and commisioned the plant.
